Composite tooling for wind energy

For both offshore and onshore turbines, the trend is clearly towards ever larger rotor diameters. The resulting requirements for structural strength and operational safety are met on the one hand by smart engineering and on the other by the use of increasingly high-quality materials. The constantly growing volume of components must also be taken into account in mould making. Epoxy or polyurethane resin-based model paste systems have established themselves on the market. Ureol Tooling Boards were specially developed for model and mold making. Our portfolio includes epoxy resin and polyurethane tooling boards and adhesive systems tailored to them. These cover all common applications and temperature requirements up to 140 °C.
