Antimicrobial additives for plastic

Antimicrobial additives protect plastic surfaces against the growth of microorganisms such as algae, bacteria or fungi. They are embedded in the polymer matrix and prevent the spread of microorganisms through chemical reactions.


Is a vulcanized saturated oil, used as a processing aid and property modifier in Rubber. It is used as a softer of rubber. It prevents compounds from Tackiness and shrinkage.It improves processability and shortens mixing time. Improves ozone resistance and electric insulation, so prolongs the product lifetime.

Irgaguard® Antimicrobials

Inhibited by chemical reactions the growth of microorganisms on the surface, can be used for most common plastics.
