Bodo Möller Chemie Gruppe: Polish branch moves into new building 1,000 m² of dangerous goods storage for more growth in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia
After a 15-year presence, the Polish branch of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group has developed into a hub for the specialty chemicals market in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. To promote growth even further, the company moved into a completely new building, which was constructed for the special requirements of the dangerous goods industry, with an adjacent warehouse for chemicals. However, the Poznań site used so far was not completely abandoned, as it keeps housing the Adhesives Competence Center and the Adhesives Lab. Due to logistical reasons, the new headquarters in Suchy Las offers advantages. Its location directly on the main highway to Poznań allows the fast transportation of the goods to and from the new site. The new warehouse with an area of 1,000 m2 offers 600 pallet spaces and 25 chilled pallet spaces for products that must be stored under normal room temperature. Two newly hired skilled workers are qualified for administering ADR goods.
Urgent deliveries with own logistics
“With the new site, we have more pleasant work conditions with a simultaneous increase of space. In the future, this will offer us additional space for expansion not available in the overcrowded city of Poznań,” says Maciej Nawrot, Managing Director Poland, Czech and Slovakia of Bodo Möller Chemie. With its own truck, Bodo Möller Chemie is capable of organizing urgent deliveries to customers in Poland directly from the warehouse. The product portfolio of the Polish branch of Bodo Möller Chemie ranges from adhesives, sealants, composites, tooling materials and resins all the way to products for the coating and construction industry. “The market in and around Poland has been growing for years and the need for modern materials is increasing. Since we established the branch in 2005, we have become one of the most important suppliers and know-how partners of the industry,” says Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. Included in this is also the information offered on the Bodo Möller Chemie website in the Polish language.
The Laboratory und Adhesive Competence Center
The independent Adhesives Laboratory of Bodo Möller Chemie remains in the High Technology Incubators Complex of the Poznań Science and Technology Park of the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation. The space vacated by the move is now also available for the adhesives and materials research, consulting and testing laboratory. The quality management of the laboratory is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and has the approval to DIN 2304 (Quality requirements for adhesive bonding processes) and DIN 6701 (Standard for the adhesive bonding of rail vehicles and parts), confirmed by TBB Cert. In addition, the attached Adhesive Competence Center also offers an independent range of services related to adhesive application technology, starting with product selection and product validation all the way to process simulation and engineering. The services of the laboratory and the Adhesive Competence Center are not only available to the Polish market, but are used by the globally operating Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
