Structural bonding of exterior components & interior of rail vehicles

On the outside, GFK structures are glued to the steel wagon box. Due to the component size and different material properties, the adhesive joint must be elastic but high-strength. 1- and 2-component polyurethane adhesives are used. The two-component technology ensures the curing of large adhesive beads without additional humidity.
Some of the materials are qualified by OEMs and large railway operators and tested according to EN45545-2.

Agomet® 2-component methyl methacrylate adhesives

Developed for processing with hardener powder or hardener paste to ensure easy mixing.

Araldite® 2-component methyl methacrylate adhesives

For all high-strength yet tough elastic adhesive joints. Very high tolerance to poorly bondable substrates or surfaces that are not optimally prepared.

BETAMATE™ 1-component polyurethane structural adhesives

Air humidity curing 1-component polyurethane adhesives and sealants for high-strength, permanently elastic adhesive joints with accelerated curing.

BETAMATE™ 2-component polyurethane structural adhesives

2-component polyurethane adhesive for direct glazing which harden quickly at room temperature. Suitable for bonding metals, plastics and composites, provided that appropriate pre-treatment has been applied.

L&L Room Temperature curing MMA Adhesives

Structural 2-component, methacrylate-based adhesives. Broad adhesion spectrum on different substrates. High strengths, fast curing times and elongation at break up to 70%.

L&L Seal 1-component silane-modified polymer adhesives

Primerless systems with good adhesion to metals, composites and plastics. Solvent- and isocyanate-free, with good UV resistance and low shrinkage for low marking.
