Production of composite components for automotive

Carbon components are often used in sports car construction to reduce structural weight. CFRP components are usually manufactured with epoxy resins, which offer the best mechanical properties and thermal resistance.

3D carbon fabrics

Weaving techniques can be used to produce near net-shape preforms.

Araldite® 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

Depending on the type, they can be used for structural bonding of metals, thermosets and reinforced plastics. Can have very high strength and temperature resistance (up to 210°C).

Araldite® 2-component methyl methacrylate adhesives

For all high-strength yet tough elastic adhesive joints. Very high tolerance to poorly bondable substrates or surfaces that are not optimally prepared.

Araldite® 2-component polyurethane structural adhesives

Structural adhesives with a very broad adhesion spectrum on metals, plastics and fibre composites. Excellent ratio between strength and elongation at break.

Epibond® 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

Primarily aviation materials for bonding in commercial aircraft, partly with qualifications from aviation OEMs and suppliers. Individual products fire-protected up to FST properties according to FAR 25.853.

Innegra Polypropylene fabrics

Is a high modulus polypropylene fibre which can be used independently or in conjunction with other fibres to provide weight reduction, excellent levels of impact resistance and damage tolerance.

Multiaxial carbon fabrics

Very flat, non-crimp fabrics from 100gsm with 2 layers and up to 1600gsm with a maximum of 9 layers, can be produced in widths up to 2540mm (100 inches).

PACTAN 1-component silicone adhesives and sealants

Room temperature crosslinking adhesives and sealants for the encapsulation of electronic assemblies, for the bonding of cooker components (FDA-approved), engine components with high temperature loads, car headlights and for showcase construction.

PACTAN 2-component silicone adhesives and sealants

Due to the cross-linking by installation of released water from the B-component, large adhesive layer thicknesses and a high hardening speed can be achieved. Suitable for flexible glass-to-metal bonding and showcase construction, partly specially designed for the production of foam seals, e.g. for household appliances, electrical and electronic housings.

Recycled carbon fabrics

Fabrics contain reclaimed carbon fibre, resulting in products that are sustainable and cost effective.
