Bodo Möller Chemie is re-certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and obtains the certification OHSAS 18001 for the first time In October 2010, Bodo Möller Chemie successfully passed the annual monitoring audits for the certifications ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2005. In addition, Bodo Möller Chemie has obtained the new certification OHSAS 18001:2007 for the first time.
Whereas the ISO 9001 focus on quality and ISO 14001 on protection of the environment, the focus of OHSAS 18801 is safety at work. OHSAS means “Occupational Health And Safety Assessment Series” and was created in 2007. It’s an international standard promoting a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows organizations to consistently identify and control its health and safety risks, reduce the potential for accidents, aid legislative compliance and improve overall performance.
The benefits of OHSAS 18001 are the following:
- increase of the staff motivation by more safety at work
- fewer downtimes and fewer production interruptions
- decisive competitive edge as a “safe and serious company”
- avoidance of financial “surprises” in safety at work by involving safety at work at highest management level.
With our sustainable ecological and economic company policy, which guarantee and ameliorate safety at work for our employees, Bodo Möller Chemie intends to nourish the confidence of our customers.
