Bodo Möller Chemie Group appointed for Distribution of DowSil in Middle East and Africa Expert for specialty chemical products is exclusive partner for Dow Silicone Elastomers

Effective July 2018, Bodo Möller Chemie Group is the appointed exclusive distributor for Dow Silicone Elastomers of Dow Consumer Solutions for industrial markets in the Middle East and Africa, except Israel and Saudi Arabia. The Dowsil product family is based on the combined power of Dow and former Dow Corning and emphasizes longstanding global expertise in silicone technologies across dozens of industries and is manufactured by DowDuPont. DowSil is the world leading brand in silicone adhesives, sealants and silicon-based technology for different applications in automotive and aerospace industry, rail, household appliances, electrical and electronic, as well as mold making.

Silicone products such as conformal coatings, gels, encapsulants and thermal management products are used for a wide variety of industries which include the most innovative such as solar or electro mobility. DowSil offers more than 7,000 products and services. With that large product family, Bodo Möller Chemie expands its presence in the Middle East and Africa. Recently the chemical specialist opened a branch office in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. “Africa and Middle East are emerging markets with an enormous potential. The growing need for specialty chemical products in bonding and sealing is the opportunity to apply our profound knowledge about applications and materials for the benefits of our customers”, explains Frank Haug, CEO of the international Bodo Möller Chemie Group. 

So far, the Sub-Saharan region has been served by two offices in South Africa, which have been established in 2011. “We additionally have excellent logistics to ensure a seamless supply chain for our clients.” adds Frank Haug of Bodo Möller Chemie Group. Apart from the Sub-Saharan business the Bodo Möller Chemie Group operates further offices in Morocco and Egypt for Maghreb and in Dubai to cover the Middle East.
