Bodo Möller Chemie Austria wins the Clusterland Award 2009 Bodo Möller Chemie Austria is proud to announce that it has, together with its partners from other companies, researchers and the Austrian authorities, won the Clusterland Award 2009. The submitted project is called “bio-packing” (www.bio-packing.at) and is the winner project in the category “Best co-operation between business and research”.

The Clusterland-Award is an award attributed to co-operation projects presenting the most innovative and convincing ideas. The award was created in 2004 by the Raiffeisen Bank Group of Vienna in co-operation with the land of Lower Austria and the ecoplus agency. The goal of this competition is to find outstanding ideas and projects in the fields of cluster and networks and to present them to the public. This year’s competition has, already for the third time, seen the most innovative company co-operations in the Lower Austria cluster landscape being awarded.

Bio-packing is a European research project intending to produce packaging from biological renewable polymers. At the same time, the entire value chain, from raw materials to recycling, over processing and additives, is developed and analysed to monitor the CO2 emissions.
