Antimicrobial finishing of plastics

Antimikrobielle Wirkstoffe werden in zahlreichen Kunststoffanwendungen eingesetzt. Entsprechende Produkte begegnen uns regelmäßig in unserem Alltag, wie z.B. bei Anwendungen für Sanitär, Küchen, Textil, Bodenbelägen und Matratzen. Diese Wirkstoffe hemmen bzw. verhindern die Ausbreitung von Schimmel, Bakterien oder Algen. Aus diesem Grund leisten antimikrobiell ausgerüstete Kunststoffe neben einem erhöhten Maß an die Hygiene auch gesundheitsrelevante Anforderungen.


Is a vulcanized saturated oil, used as a processing aid and property modifier in Rubber. It is used as a softer of rubber. It prevents compounds from Tackiness and shrinkage.It improves processability and shortens mixing time. Improves ozone resistance and electric insulation, so prolongs the product lifetime.

Irgaguard® Antimicrobials

Inhibited by chemical reactions the growth of microorganisms on the surface, can be used for most common plastics.
