An accelerator is defined as a compound that increases the speed of vulcanization and that enables vulcanization to proceed at lower temperature and with greater efficiency. Accelerator also decreases the amount of sulfur needed to cross-link the polydiene, which improves the aging properties of the vulcanized rubber. Different accelerators are added separately according to a mixing ratio.

During the application of liquid coatings on surfaces a multitude of surface defects can occur. The cause for this is, among others, significantly differing surface tensions. If, for example, the surface tension of the coating is higher than that of the substrate, this manifests itself in poor wetting (high contact angle) and, with that poor adhesion and cratering. Also after the application and while the coating is drying, local surface tension differences can cause unfavorable leveling and the floating of pigments.
Special engineered lamellar Perlite grades providing high transparency and formulation cost savings for matt wood finishes. The ClearLite™ product range is offering a new level of transparency in water-borne clear and transparent varnishes and lacquers for wood.
Celite™ Flux Calcined DE grades are very efficient matting agents for water-borne as well as solvent-borne paints and plasters for exterior and interior. The special grades are also recommended as matting agents for traffic paints.
