Charging infrastructure

Charging stations generate electrical energy for charging plug-in electric vehicles.

Sensors (ADAS)

Sensors are installed almost everywhere in the car: you can find them in the engine, in the wheels, in the airbag. They are also important in the driving and parking function. In addition to radar, ultrasound and camera, lidar will soon also play an important role.

Hydrogen offers great value for a sustainable future of mobility escpecially for passenger cars and heavy-duty commercial transportation. It’s a locally emission-free mobility with unrestricted everyday use and has a much higher effiency than e-fuels.

Pressure vessel require ultimate burst pressure, fire and impact resistance. The manufacturing of high pressure vessels require resin systems of thermal resistance (Tg ≥ 115°C), tensile strength and elongation at break as well as fracture toughness (KIc, GIc). The systems need to have a chemical resistance and adhesion to fibers.

Electric vehicle battery gaskets provide environmental sealing and thermal insulation. They may also provide fire protection and shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI). Advantages of foam gaskets are contract manufacturing possible and battery is serviceable.

Composite battery housing designs can reduce weight by up to 40% versus metal concepts, while meeting all safety, mechanical and thermal requirements.
