Sicotan® pigments are inorganic, yellow and brown mixed-phase pigments. They exhibit excellent properties in light and weather resistance, resistance to chemicals and heat, even in extreme reductions. Sicotan® pigments are suitable for use in blends with organic pigments to obtain brilliant color shades with high hiding power. Their high heat stability makes them suitable for most resins.
The Sicopal® range comprises inorganic pigments with a spinal structure based on various metal oxides. All Sicopal® pigments are particularly heat stable and extraordinarily light and weather resistant.
Flamestab® is an organic and halogen-free flame retardant for the plastics industry. It is suitable for use in nonwoven applications such as woven fabric constructions, indoor and outdoor artificial turf, monofilaments and tapes made of polypropylene, and applications involving polypropylene fibers. Flamestab® meets the highest safety standards and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
Techsurf® melt additives impart hydrophilicity to polyolefin fibers, nonwovens and specialty plastics applications. These melting additives help to reduce the surface resistance of the finished fabric, increase absorbency and improve softness. Techsurf® is used in the manufacture of diapers and wipes as well as medical tubing.
Special products are used for engine overhaul, which have been developed and qualified in accordance with manufacturer maintenance specifications. There are products for use on the aircraft (on wing) and for use in repair shops (off wing).
Chemical paint strippers can be used to effectively remove the paint layers on the aircraft structure without mechanical action. The product selection is based on the desired process time and compatibility with the base material.
In order to achieve an optimal, homogeneous metal surface, the uppermost material layers that are affected by corrosion or contamination are removed by etching agents. This improves the quality of subsequent lacquering and surface coatings.
In most cases etching of the full component surface is not wished, only individual areas shall be treated. Areas which shall not be attacked chemically are covered in advance with special liquid masking media. This protects these surface areas from the etching process.
Release agents are used for the pretreatment of pressing and laminating tools to ensure easy demoulding, good surface quality and low tool contamination.
Laminating resins for wet laminates are used in component manufacture and repair. These resins are 2-component and are offered for cold curing as well as for curing in the autoclave process.
Pasty adhesives are usually 2-component and are used in a wide range of applications. In addition to the bonding of components, individual products are also used for tolerance compensation (liquid shimming).
