Bonding of cabin components

Depending on the application, different requirements are placed on the adhesives in the aircraft. Primarily 2-component epoxy adhesives are used, occasionally 1-component epoxy adhesives and polyurethane-based products are also used.

Epibond® 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

Primarily aviation materials for bonding in commercial aircraft, partly with qualifications from aviation OEMs and suppliers. Individual products fire-protected up to FST properties according to FAR 25.853.

Epocast® Core and edge fillers with FR/FST fire properties


L&L Bond® 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

Primarily for the bonding of cabin components in commercial aircraft, partly with qualifications from aviation OEMs and suppliers. The materials fulfil the FST fire properties according to FAR 25.853.

LOCTITE® Adhesive films

Adhesive films are reactive materials that are usually supplied frozen as roll goods. They are mainly used for bonding metal and composite components and for honeycomb sandwich structures.

LOCTITE® Paste epoxy adhesives for aerospace applications

Pasty adhesives are usually 2-component and are used in a wide range of applications. In addition to the bonding of components, individual products are also used for tolerance compensation (liquid shimming).

Uralane® 2-component polyurethane adhesives

Primarily aerospace materials, mostly used for thermoplastic bonding in commercial aircraft, partly with qualifications from aerospace OEMs and suppliers. Ductile material behaviour compared to epoxy resin materials.
