The Bodo Möller Chemie Group expands its collaboration with Songwon

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group, supplier of specialty chemicals and complete solutions for the industry, will continue to expand its cooperation with the international chemical corporation Songwon Industrial Co., Ltd, headquartered in South Korea, New in the Bodo Möller Chemie product line are the Songwon additives for the production of PVC products. The expanded collaboration initially pertains to the Sub-Saharan market in Africa. “This step represents a further expansion of our presence on the African continent and altogether strengthens our product range in the area of plastic additives. Now as before, long-lasting PVC applications represent a large percentage in total plastic consumption; as a matter of fact, international demand is growing again, now with more than 2 percent,” says Jürgen Rietschle, Managing Director of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.

Three locations in Africa

Bodo Möller Chemie takes over the exclusive sales & distribution of the Songwon additives for PVC production in the Sub-Saharan region. “The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has more than 45 years of experience in the sales & distribution of specialty chemicals and is already looking at a long-term and successful collaboration with Songwon in other regions of the world. Together we can increase our presence and support our customers locally even better,” explains Hazem Habiba, Sales Manager – Middle East and Africa at Songwon International Middle East. The Bodo Möller Group is represented in Africa with three locations, two of them in South Africa and one in Kenya. Thus, the logistics is not only in the company’s hands, but the local advice expertise is also present.

The product range of the South African subsidiary of Bodo Möller Chemie established in 2011 includes PU/isocyanates and polyols for the automobile industry, specialized windscreen adhesives for the automotive aftermarket, dispersions, resins, binders for the paint and coatings industry as well as polymer additives, flame protection for the manufacturing of plastics and co-polymers for special applications.
