Bodo Möller Chemie obtains majority share in distribution company Losi Group Expansion into aerospace market signals key milestone in growth strategy
After taking over the Losi Group distribution company based in Casalpusterlengo, Italy, Bodo Möller Chemie is now the majority shareholder in the global provider for composite adhesives and surface technologies. The aerospace expert’s portfolio contains the market leader’s products, including Henkel Adhesive Technologies (Loctite®, Bonderite®), Airtech Advanced Materials, Virtek and Aeroform Composites. Bodo Möller Chemie is thus paving the way for easier access to aerospace product providers.
Bodo Möller Chemie has acquired 50.1 percent of distribution company Losi Group, a solutions provider for bonding composite materials and surface technologies for the aerospace industry, defense sector, MRO, motorsport, and the high-tech automotive industry. Founded in 1988 and based in the Italian city of Casalpusterlengo, the Losi Group advises and supplies over 250 clients in more than 50 countries worldwide and boasts a complex warehouse infrastructure with superior technology cooling capacities down to -20 °C and the ability to reach -40 °C in the shortest possible time. Certified to ISO 9001 and EN 9120, the company is able to meet the special requirements imposed by the aerospace industry. For Bodo Möller Chemie, this takeover plays a crucial role in achieving its growth targets and reinforcing its global partnership with Henkel. “This strategic move is a significant milestone for us, opening up new avenues in the aerospace market, with a specific focus on Henkel and Airtech products and top-tier systems for aerospace applications such as Virtek and Aeroform,” states Frank Haug, Chairman of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group Executive Management.
“Renowned internationally, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group provides much more than just distribution since they align with our company values as they too are a family enterprise,” affirms Andrea Losi, CEO at the Losi Group. Rinaldo Losi, the group’s founder, sums up: “We’re delighted with the opportunities that this cooperative partnership with Bodo Möller Chemie presents. Together, we’ll be able to offer our clients a complete service ranging from consultation through to delivery with our own logistics and are looking forward to capitalizing on our expanded presence.”
