Modern electro-casting resins are an indispensable part of innovative electrical and electronic applications in future-oriented sectors such as in the automotive-, aviation- or e-mobility industries. However, many other industry sectors also benefit from developments in casting technology. With another electro seminar, Bodo Möller Chemie – the specialty chemicals company – continues the highly successful seminar series in Heidelberg on 24th October 2019. The one-day training seminar is geared to specialists and users from production and development. In addition to providing the foundations for processing and selecting epoxide-, polyurethane- and silicone- based casting systems, qualified sector specialists will impart product and application-specific knowledge by way of technical lectures and practical examples. In the seminar, participants will be given the opportunity to exchange their experiences with one another and discuss specific issues with the lecturing experts.

Electro-casting system requirements

Modern casting technologies have immense potential in practical application and the growing electrification of private transport will drive this development even further. Casting compounds are found in numerous key parts of electrical and electronic components such as in electric motors, sensors, controls, batteries and inductive assemblies. Due to these varied possible applications, these materials must perform specific functions and meet specific requirements. For example, they must be chemically and mechanically resistant, have special electrical and thermal properties and be easily processed. Fire protection is another important aspect in electrical applications too. As a partner of leading manufacturers of epoxide-, polyurethane- and silicon-based casting technologies, Bodo Möller Chemie combines its sound product knowledge with a wide spectrum of application technology experience.
