International growth: Bodo Möller Chemie opens new lab for adhesives in Poznań

The Bodo Möller Chemie group continuous its international growth: With a new adhesive application laboratory in the industry and research centre of Poznań in Poland the globally active specialty chemicals company is now able to serve the requirements of its customers even better.

All international branches of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group can thus benefit of advanced testing and laboratory equipment in the Science and Technology Park Poznań and can work closely with the local University of Technology. Jürgen Rietschle, Managing Director of Bodo Möller Chemie Poland, said: „The cooperation with the Technical University of Poznań and the optimal networked location were decisive for the choice of location. These factors will help us significantly to adapt our international supply even more targeted to meet the needs of numerous industries. The premises are equipped with modern technology and infrastructure and can be expanded with other devices or additional laboratory space if necessary. The focus of the work of the adhesiveexperts lies in the implementation of numerous adhesive tests for industries such as Transportation and Mobility: The modern adhesive systems are tested on aspects such as peel strength, UV resistance, conductivity and corrosion and other environmental influences. During the year 2014 it is aimed to receive the certificates according to ISO 9001 and DIN 6701-2 for the laboratory.

The cooperation with the University of Technology offers Bodo Möller Chemie Poland locally numerous other possibilities and access to high quality scientific equipment. With additional test methods – including tensile strength tests and X-rays or ultrasonic tests – all mechanical, thermal, thermo-mechanical and structural properties of adhesives can be determined accurately.
