German specialty chemistry keeps on accelerating

With modern infusion resins the international specialty chemicals company Bodo Möller Chemie (www.bm-chemie.com) supports the KüHN Racing Team of the Heilbronn University (http://www.kuehn-racing.de/) in the development and construction of the Formula Student racing car „Raptor”. The single seater racing car will be completed in April 2013 and will run in this year’s Formula Student Events in Italy (Varano di Melegari) and the Formula Student Germany in Hockenheim.
The infusion resins of Bodo Möller Chemie are used for the coating of the lightweight body and allow the aerodynamic, ergonomic and durable construction of the Raptor. Dedicated students are working at the KüHN Racing Team of Heilbronn since 2007 to develop competitive racing cars and to compete against teams from all around the world, says project manager Peter Seitz: „Formula Student brings together study and practice in an extremely interesting way. Technical, economic and sustainable thinking is just as important as teamwork and extraordinary ideas.”
