Bodo Möller Chemie on Pole Position at Formula Student
With great success the result of this project has been presented on 14th of April 2011 at the University of Karlsruhe: two racing cars for the Formula Student Competition.
More than 50 students from the faculties of engineering, electronics, informatics and technology are part of the KA-RaceIng Team. For this Formula Student Competition the students have developed, constructed and produced two racing cars: one car with conventional combustion motor and one car with electric drive. This new racing bolides, which the team will use this year at competitions in and outside of Germany, like Hockenheim or Silverstone, are named KIT11 and KIT11e (electronic car).
Bodo Möller provides the students with epoxy resins Araldite LY5052 and Aradur 5052 which are essential parts of the monocoque construction of the racing cars. The KA-RaceIng Team uses various production methods on vacuum basis, like vacuum infiltration or hand lay-up laminates with vacuum presses afterwards.
We wish the KA-RaceIng Team every success!
