Bodo Möller Chemie: Egyptian subsidiary gains ISO energy management certification
The German Bodo Möller Chemie Group, which is a producer, distributor and expert in different applications scenarios, has had its Egyptian subsidiary ISO 50001 certified. In addition to its own manufacturing plant in Sadat City, the Offenbach-based company operates two sales offices with laboratories in Cairo and Alexandria. It took over the production plant from Huntsman Advanced Materials in 2015, together with the distribution rights for the Middle East and North Africa for products from the Huntsman portfolio. The factory occupies an area of more than 4,200 m² and has an annual production capacity of 12,000 tonnes of polymer material for floor coverings. The production process employs 32 employees and is based on European and German standards, such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001. The recent ISO 50001 certification of the site for energy management once again underscores the company’s high demands in terms of quality and sustainability.
Chemical industry in flux: distributor in the process
In view of the increasingly low margins prevailing within the chemicals sector, distributors are now more important than ever before.
