Bodo Möller Chemie at JEC World 2018 Industry summit under the banner "Composites materials are shaping our lives and our future"

Modern composites for the automotive and aeronautical industries have a massive impact upon all sectors of the supply industry. Companies such as Bodo Möller Chemie are active in the market as specialist technical problem-solvers, rather than merely traditional suppliers of products. Every year, JEC 2018 provides an opportunity to experience new trends in these innovative technologies first hand. Leading companies and experts from the composites sector are meeting in Paris from 6th to 8th March 2018 at JEC World 2018, the world’s largest specialist trade fair. The main themes will certainly be the development of novel construction methods and manufacturing technologies , which will increasingly benefit future-oriented technologies such as electromobility.

The advantages of modern fibre-reinforced composites lie in their potential for reducing weight and increasing design freedom. Here, the greatest demand is predominantly from electric vehicle manufacturers, for whom reduced weight and maximum strength are relevant factors. Adhesives and sealants are particularly important in bonding technology: as a forward-looking supplier, Bodo Möller Chemie offers leading suppliers a comprehensive portfolio of products as well as extensive research and application know-how. The speciality chemicals company is focused on needs-based solutions for its customers, rather than simply offering a product catalogue. “New applications require more from a supplier than just a full range of products. What is really needed is comprehensive product knowledge and sector-specific process and manufacturing experience. Bodo Möller Chemie has kept pace with these requirements and is a technical consultant with a full range of potential solutions,” explains CEO Frank Haug.

Composite solutions have multiple advantages over conventional materials, reflected in lower costs, much better performance and many more potential applications. These also include new mould-making applications. The Bodo Möller Group, which is represented by 28 subsidiaries worldwide, has wide-ranging and diverse knowledge of products and applications in the areas of composites, mould-making, adhesives, and sealants. The solution-provider is not only familiar with the materials but also the requirements placed upon customers and their products, and supports users in an advisory capacity during the development phase and throughout the entire manufacturing process.

With 40 years experience in selling speciality chemicals, Bodo Möller Chemie GmbH (www.bm-chemie.de) is the leading partner to well-known European chemical companies, including DOW Automotive Systems, HB Fuller, BASF and Huntsman Advanced Materials. Bodo Möller Chemie has now added its own production plant to its portfolio. The Offenbach company’s products include high-performance epoxy resin, polyurethane and silicone-based adhesives, thermosetting plastics (epoxy resin, polyester, polyurethane, silicone), pigments and additives, textile agents, dyes, electro-casting resins and tooling and laminating resins. The experts at Bodo Möller Chemie offer their customers targeted advice and a customised on-site service to help them find the right product and the best solution for each specific requirement.
