With a successful audit, the Polish branch of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group and the associated Adhesive Competence Center (ACC) have once again been certified for the decisive standards in the adhesive technology field. The Certificate of Competence for the ACC laboratory includes the design and calculation of structural bonding in the industry and in the specialized area of rail vehicles in accordance with the leading DIN 2304 and DIN 6701 standards. The DIN standards specify the guidelines for structurally safe bonding, thereby preventing application and processing faults. The ACC also provides advice on selecting the suitable connection geometry for the operating conditions and the load distribution of assemblies. In addition to the Polish market, the Poznan branch also serves Lithuania and Latvia as well as a continuously growing market in Eastern Europe, while the ACC also offers worldwide customer support with advice and expertise.

Development and supply chain optimization

The ACC is certified for projects that have the highest possible load and safety classes S1 (DIN 2304) and A1 (DIN 6701). The sufficient quality of the bonding is crucially important for security-related bonding applications, particularly in the manufacturing of cars, trucks, buses and rail vehicles.

With its own and extensive logistics, the Bodo Möller Chemie Group takes over not only the supply chain for the bonding solutions, but also actively collaborates in the development by carrying out the structural strength and all essential load scenario tests in accordance with the decisive standards. “With our Adhesive Competence Center, we have created an institution that supports the critical steps for the industry throughout the world, from the planning to the continuous use of industrial adhesives. Starting with the modern mobility solutions market, many industries require an extensive use of adhesive solutions,” says Frank Haug, Chairman of the Board of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.

Full manufacturer neutrality

“We are delighted that owing to the renewed independent certification that includes the Adhesive Competence Center, we are able to offer these comprehensive services for the industry,” explains Przemysław Kuśmierek, who as Head of the Adhesive Competence Center is in charge of the adhesive laboratory in the Polish facility of the Bodo Möller Group. An important advantage for customers is the autonomy with which the ACC can operate. The Bodo Möller Chemie Group cooperates with leading manufacturers throughout the world and can therefore develop the ideal solution for each specific application, based on the results furnished by the ACC and the delivery program of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group. Manufacturing partners are large companies of the sector like Dow, DuPont, Merck, Huntsman and Henkel.
