Our Composites product line includes high-quality formulated epoxy resin matrix systems for the production of fiber-reinforced plastics for composite component manufacturing and mold-making. The composites product range covers all common manufacturing processes in industries such as automotive, bus, truck, rail, aerospace, wind energy, marine, sports and leisure. Our Ureol Tooling Boards cover the entire range of model, tool and mold making with epoxy and polyurethane.

Afcona Slip and levelling Agents

During the application of liquid coatings on surfaces a multitude of surface defects can occur. The cause for this is, among others, significantly differing surface tensions. If, for example, the surface tension of the coating is higher than that of the substrate, this manifests itself in poor wetting (high contact angle) and, with that poor adhesion and cratering. Also after the application and while the coating is drying, local surface tension differences can cause unfavorable leveling and the floating of pigments.

Afcona Defoamers

Foam is a dispersion of a gas in a liquid. The occurrence of foam when producing and processing coatings, printing inks, plastic materials, but also in many other industrial processes, is usually not desired. Defoamers or air release agents prevent and destroy the foam bubbles and enable an improved processing, a perfect surface and optimum product properties.

Agomet® 2-component methyl methacrylate adhesives

Developed for processing with hardener powder or hardener paste to ensure easy mixing.

Araldite® 1-component epoxy resin adhesives

Form a very good contact adhesion to metals as well as duromers and have an excellent ratio between shear and peel strength.

Araldite® 2-component epoxy casting resins

For all industrial applications, from electronics to mold making. The portfolio includes products ranging from particularly low shrinkage for high-precision castings to products resistant to high temperatures and chemicals and materials with excellent insulation properties for electrical engineering applications.

Araldite® 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

Depending on the type, they can be used for structural bonding of metals, thermosets and reinforced plastics. Can have very high strength and temperature resistance (up to 210°C).

Araldite® Color pastes

Allow the product color to be adapted to customer requirements with light-colored potting or laminating resin systems.

Araldite® / Epibond® Syntactics

Core and edge fillers for weight-optimised, local reinforcement of highly stressed zones in composite sandwich components (force transmission, edges, etc.). The materials are inserted into the honeycomb core and are hardened. 1-component (thermosetting) and 2-component (cold-curing) available. Partially fire-protected up to FST properties according to FAR 25.853.

BETAFORCE™ 2-component polyurethane structural adhesives, high modulus

Room temperature fast curing 2-component polyurethane adhesive with high mechanical strength and high elongation at break, specially developed for structural bonding.

BETALINK™ 2-component polyurethane semi-structural adhesives

2-component polyurethane adhesive with high elongation and fast curing at room temperature. Approved by Technical Inspection Agency for the bonding of aerodynamic attachments in vehicle construction.

BETAMATE™ 1-component epoxy resin adhesives

Specially developed for use in automotive shell construction to increase crash stability and stiffness. They adhere excellently to the oiled steel and aluminium grades used.

BETAMATE™ 1-component silane-modified polymer adhesives

1-component air humidity curing sealant based on hybrid polymer with permanent elasticity. Scentless, with low shrinkage, good UV stability and good primerless adhesion on many substrates.

BETAMATE™ 2-component epoxy resin adhesives

For crash-resistant structural bonding of repair sheets and metals in general as well as fiber-reinforced plastics. Achieves approximately the strength of 1K epoxy resin adhesives.

BETAMATE™ 2-component polyurethane structural adhesives

2-component polyurethane adhesive for direct glazing which harden quickly at room temperature. Suitable for bonding metals, plastics and composites, provided that appropriate pre-treatment has been applied.

BETAPRIME™ Primer

Film-forming glass, plastic and metal primers which, in addition to the adhesion promoter, also increase the UV and corrosion protection of an adhesive bond.

BETAWIPE™ Activators

Activators which increase the adhesion and ageing resistance of certain substrates such as glass or aluminium by creating chemical bonds between substrate and primer.

Bluesil™ 2-component silicone casting compounds

For all areas of mold making where highly flexible molding compounds have to be used.

Cinquasia® Organic pigment powder

L&L Room Temperature curing MMA Adhesives

Structural 2-component, methacrylate-based adhesives. Broad adhesion spectrum on different substrates. High strengths, fast curing times and elongation at break up to 70%.

L&L Seal 1-component silane-modified polymer adhesives

Primerless systems with good adhesion to metals, composites and plastics. Solvent- and isocyanate-free, with good UV resistance and low shrinkage for low marking.

Lumina® Mica-based interference pigments

Titanium-coated synthetic mica for producing white sparkling effects with bluish frost character.

MagnaPearl® Pearlescence pigments

Pearlescence pigments based on oxide-coated natural mica. Different particle sizes and oxide layer thicknesses give the pigments the different semi-transparent sparkling effects in different metallic and colored shades.

Matrimid® Polyimides and bismaleimides

For the formulation of thermally highly stable, weather-resistant hardener systems for adhesives, composites or coating resin systems with low outgassing and excellent dimensional stability.

Multiaxial carbon fabrics

Very flat, non-crimp fabrics from 100gsm with 2 layers and up to 1600gsm with a maximum of 9 layers, can be produced in widths up to 2540mm (100 inches).

Pactan 1-component silane-modified polymer adhesives

1-component, stable material based on hybrid polymer, air humidity-curing. Scentless after cross-linking. Good ageing and weathering resistance, as well as chemical resistance.

Permabond® Cyanoacrylate adhesives / Cyanoacrylate-based superglue

Cyanoacrylate adhesives are 1-component adhesives which often harden in a few seconds due to a reaction with traces of moisture on the surface of the material to be bonded. They have been formulated to cover a wide range of adhesive properties.

Permabond® Polyolefin primer for pretreatment

For surface pretreatment of polyolefins (PP, PE etc.), PTFE and silicones. For bonding with CAs, which are difficult to bond without special pre-treatment due to the low surface energy.

Razeen® Diluents and modifiers
