Starting immediately, Bodo Möller Chemie takes over the distribution for plastic, printing and coating applications for selected customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as for Spain, Portugal, France and the Benelux countries. This step supplements the takeover of the surface solutions business of Merck in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland, which also took place on May 1st. The pigments and additives are used in the color and coating industry, the printing sector and in the processing of plastics. From decor printing all the way to valuable coatings, effect pigments and functional additives contribute to make products more colorful, functional and durable. “The further expanded collaboration with Merck as manufacturer of innovative products, especially here for effect pigments, pleases us a great deal. With it, we keep setting the course to become the complete know-how and product provider and can offer Distribution 2.0 to our customers,” says Florian Krückl, Vice President Global Business Management CASE & Textile Effects of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.

Customized solutions

The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has been growing for years, cooperating with leading manufacturers and making a name for itself among customers as product and application expert. In this way, in addition to the extensive product catalogue, the industry can also fall back on application and processing knowledge for customized total solutions. “The Bodo Möller Chemie Group has excellent market access, dependable logistics networks and profound application knowledge. It is for us a valuable partner for the on-site targeted customer approach,” says Michael Weiden, Head of EMEA Surface Solutions at Merck.

From product to application

Modern development and production processes take place faster than ever and therefore considerably more expertise is needed on the part of suppliers than before. On the distribution side, the profound application knowledge of Bodo Möller Chemie supplements its extensive product range. Customer-specific formulations, laboratory tests for the processability and further specialized services offer customers substantial advantages. Fast development cycles and efficient construction methods shift part of the development from the corporations to the supplier and distribution sector. “Our distribution model long ago already became a service concept with the subsequent delivery of the optimal product for further processing,” adds Florian Krückl, Vice President Global Business Management CASE & Textile Effects of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
